Sitting atop the summit of Maria’s Bluff at Great Cruz Bay Road on the beautiful island of St. John, Kismet encompasses 360° views with every window offering a delight to the eye. On clear days, St. Croix is easily visible, and on very clear days, even Puerto Rico can be seen from Kismet’s scenic site. Take a stroll in Kismet’s garden, mellow out in its hammock, enjoy the pool, hot tub, theater room, or billiard room. Look Westward in the late afternoon to see the beautiful sunset with St. Thomas, across Pillsbury Sound, sparkling in the night. Early risers will be delighted by the gorgeous sunrises in the East.

Kismet comfortably sleeps up to twelve within its 5 bedrooms and 2 daybeds in the billiard room. There are, in total, six and one half baths. The large living room, separate dining room, gourmet kitchen and theater room form the North Pavilion. The living room contains a superb game table with a wide assortment of games, a dry bar, and a CD stereo system with a large and varied CD library and additional speakers in the dining room and outdoor patio. A Dell computer with wireless Internet connection as well as a printer are provided for your convenience. The dining room features a large dining table with seating for 12. The gourmet kitchen contains state of the art appliances including a gas cooktop, double ovens, refrigerator, dishwasher, garbage disposal, separate refrigerator drawers for drinks, and an ice maker.

The master bedroom suite, with sitting room and large bathroom with steam shower and bathtub, comprises the main area of the East Pavilion. These two pavilions and 2 additional bedrooms in the Upper South Pavilion, open to a covered arcade adjoining a sun drenched courtyard. Partially framing the 37' X 17' swimming pool 3'-8' deep and adjoining hot tub, this beautifully landscaped courtyard is exquisitely set with Moroccan tiles and palm trees. A state of the art gas barbeque grill and rotisserie is strategically located under the covered arcade.

Two additional bedrooms and the billiard room are located in the Lower South Pavilion and open to a second patio which features a beautiful Moroccan fountain from Fez. All pavilions and rooms are fully air conditioned.  TV's in media room, dining room and kitchen.

Partially comprising a second floor of the East Pavilion, and accessible via a tiled staircase, is Kismet’s breezy Tower. Beautifully set with a Moroccan mosaic floor, this awesome room offers spectacular views of the pool courtyard and far beyond to the other islands in the distance. Through the pointed arches, this scenic aerie is the perfect room to enjoy sunsets and cocktails while relaxing in its colorful plush cushions and pillows.

Kismet is beautifully decorated throughout with tiles from Morocco, custom woodwork and exquisite furnishings. Every bedroom is equipped with satellite TV as well as direct satellite Internet connection. Just plug your laptop into the connection on the desk and access the web free of charge. If you don't bring your laptop, a computer with printer/fax is available in the living room for easy access to your email.  If you prefer to work outdoors, a wireless modem allows you to sit in the courtyard by the pool and be connected to the world via your personal laptop.

The Screening Room has a maximum clarity 55” LED-HD screen, 5.1 Dolby Digital Surround sound, six theatre reclining chairs and a very large library of films in the VHS tape, laser disc + Blu-Ray DVD and CD players, VCR, plus an extensive collection of movies in various formats (over 1000 movies and DVD's are stored in storage player). This is probably the only such room on St. John, an island with no movie theater.

The Billiard Room features a magnificent full size pool table, along with a dart board, wet bar and full bath. With two twin size daybeds and Internet connection, this room easily becomes a sixth bedroom with all the amenities and conveniences found throughout the villa.

Follow the Garden Path leading off the arcade to enjoy the beauty of the varied palm trees, tropical flowers and fruit trees. Relax in the hammock or on the northwest garden patio. Or, if you prefer, choose one of our two strategically placed garden benches to privately savor the view.
